Artist's Comments

The first of five pictures I'm doing for a project called Royal Flush. There will also be Ace, King, Jack and Ten drawn for the series. I know royal flushes are with spades and not hearts, but I drew this before I knew that so I'll change it later. For now, I'll leave it in its original state.

The snowflakes are used as the background (and blue as the color) because I see the Queen as a callous individual who is only concerned with herself. The blue represents her solitude and a bit of sadness, while the snowflakes show towards her cold and frigid personality.

This was actually the first picture I made a serious attempt at doing the outlining in pen, with variations in thickness and weight. It was surprisingly enjoyable to do once I got over the fear of making permanent mistakes to the picture. Hopefully I didn't do too terrible in completing it.

Full view please :)

Sorry to birst your bubble, but I'm a poet; I don't draw.

I have 12 pocket-sized buddhas, what do you have?

If you got a simple comment, just remember that everyone else got one, too.

Oooo Kudos!! Personally, my favorite parts are the little things. Like the pattern on the fan, or the H.I.M 'hearticles' for earings. ^^ I love it! Only which I could comp color...

I think I remember looking at this! It's very lovely, and the coloring is so gorgeous!
I even like how you used different thickness of lines, and the background with snowflakes...
this piece is just so beautiful!
